秦建斌深圳计算永利开户送38元体验金院研究科学家,爱丁堡大学研究员,澳大利亚新南威尔士大学博士、研究员。从事数据库、信息检索领域研究,具体方向为相似性查找、数据集成、信息提取等,发表学术论文近20篇,其中包括13篇数据库、信息检索领域顶级学术会议(ICDE, SIGMOD, VLDB, SIGIR)、期刊论文(ACM TODSSIGMOD等);CiSRA最佳论文奖、SIGMOD最佳论文提名,ICDE最佳论文提名,DASFAA最佳学生论文。

报告摘要

With the proliferation of data, similarity query processing plays an important role in many application areas. Consequently, there has been much interest in developing efficient methods for this fundamental operation. In this talk, we focus on the processing of similarity queries on string, vector and set, which are the most common types of data and ubiquitous in our daily life. I will introduce on a framework that based on generalized Pigeonhole principle and Pigeonring principle and show the framework is powerful to accellerate most similairty query processing algorithms that based on basic Pigeonhole principle. I will also introduce an overview of the fundamental problems of similarity query processing and state-of-the-art approaches to these problems and how to apply generlized Pigeonhole/Pigeonring principle to accelerate them.
